Well, I made it to the gym for the second day in a row. You can't imagine how hard it was to roll out of bed this morning. I feel like I went up against Muhammad Ali and lost big time. maybe going for a 3K run last night after not having worked out for a few weeks was not the best idea....
However, at least I have now a starting point and despite the tendeness, I powered through it today. COuldnt manage to make myself complete another 3K two days in a row so I did the program 'Yellow Brick Row" Now I know what youre thinking, lots of hills...OH MY GOD YES!!!!
I love watching the treadmill move itself automatically up and down as I'm walking/running. I know; I'm a dork. But, the damn thing wouldn't stop moving today. All I could seem to think of was How the Grinch Stole Christmas and how he says "All the noise, noise noise" and change it to "All these hills, hills, hills". Oh soooooo many hills.
But in the end, I triumphed. Only two miles today, but a majority of it was up and down hills. I increased my speed today to 4.2 while walking and ran at 5.5 for awhile. No reps at all cause truth be told, by the end of the run, I was exhausted. Weird since, last night I took a dose of NyQuil on top of my 3K run and it knocked me out like a light bulb for over 12 hours.
Anywho....so now the days begins. At least it has started on a good note, as I feel a little leaner, not necessarily meaner, but ready to take on the challenges of today which include the evil mozzarella sticks that worm their way into my hand somehow every time I'm at work. Wish me luck as I battle the dreaded fryer and its band of fried minions...
